OFFSHORE CRANE OPERATOR ASSESSMENT LEVEL 3
The Offshore Crane Operator Assessment Level 3 is a globally acknowledged and widely accepted evaluation method for offshore crane operators. Candidates will need to showcase their knowledge, comprehension, and practical abilities to successfully complete the assessment procedure and be certified as competent for unsupervised, safe, and effective work.
Assessment Pre-requisites
Experienced offshore crane operators with a minimum of 50 hours supervised and logged over side lifts.
Curriculum

- Outline the crane operator's duties in accordance with relevant legal requirements
- Define the restrictions on tasks associated with crane operation.
- Demonstrate the capability to effectively interpret the load chart for the specific crane in use.
- Display comprehension of the functions of the load indicator, encompassing both static and dynamic modes.
- Explain proficiency in operating crane controls.
- Describe the wire ropes integrated into the crane, including winches and luffing mechanisms.
