WORKING AT HEIGHT
Upon completing the course, the learner/trainee should be able to:
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the hazards and risks associated with working at height specific to wind turbine generators (WTGs).
- Exhibit familiarity with current national legislation pertaining to working at heights, including the accurate identification of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and recognition of European/Global standard markings on items like harnesses, hard hats, lanyards, etc.
- Proficiently inspect, maintain, store, and correctly don relevant PPE, such as harnesses, fall arrest lanyards, guided-type fall arrest lanyards, and work positioning lanyards.
- Employ the relevant PPE appropriately, including harnesses, fall arrest lanyards, guided-type fall arresters, and work positioning lanyards, which entails the proper identification of anchor points and adherence to correct procedures while on ladders.
- Utilize evacuation devices correctly and respond effectively to rescue situations within WTGs, utilizing rescue equipment efficiently.
