Working At Height

WORKING AT HEIGHT

Upon completing the course, the learner/trainee should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the hazards and risks associated with working at height specific to wind turbine generators (WTGs).
  2. Exhibit familiarity with current national legislation pertaining to working at heights, including the accurate identification of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and recognition of European/Global standard markings on items like harnesses, hard hats, lanyards, etc.
  3. Proficiently inspect, maintain, store, and correctly don relevant PPE, such as harnesses, fall arrest lanyards, guided-type fall arrest lanyards, and work positioning lanyards.
  4. Employ the relevant PPE appropriately, including harnesses, fall arrest lanyards, guided-type fall arresters, and work positioning lanyards, which entails the proper identification of anchor points and adherence to correct procedures while on ladders.
  5. Utilize evacuation devices correctly and respond effectively to rescue situations within WTGs, utilizing rescue equipment efficiently.
